You are also a safety officer: Through the ‘Preventive Observations’ module, an update of the previous ‘Communications Management’ module, any worker can report incidents or cases of unsafe acts or probable risks through their personal portal on the platform

Every person in an organization must be committed to the safety and security of personnel and equipment. In our daily work, we may encounter situations that could pose a risk to ourselves or others! This is the foundation of a preventative culture that involves the entire organization.
In these risky situations, we might encounter things like broken glass on the floor that could cause an injury, a puddle of water that could be a potential hazard… or even a collapse! The scenarios can vary greatly, but the goal is the same for everyone: the safety of people and their surroundings. Having the peace of mind that comes from being part of the solution contributes to well-being and fosters a positive work environment. This participation aligns with the Preventive Safety Observations (PSOs).
So how can we do all this using Sabentis? By using the ‘ Preventive Observations’ module, which is an update of the previous ‘Communication Management’ module. Through ‘Preventive Observations’, any employee can report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and other observations.
Including photographs and documents
Communication can be done quickly from a mobile phone. By logging into their Sabentis employee portal profile, the person submits the notification manually via a specific form—including code, date and time, location type, observation, severity, brief description, etc.—and can attach photographs of the evidence or even other supplementary documents.
As soon as the authorized person approves the form on the platform, a corrective action is assigned or created to resolve the issue. Furthermore, as the person in charge, you can edit the form and register the report in ‘ Report Details’. This ensures that safety issues are not only detected and corrected but also properly recorded and reported. You are also a safety officer.
You are also the prevention specialist
This individual-centered approach reminds us that safety is not just the responsibility of specialists or management, but of every member of the organization. From the newest employee to the highest-level executive, everyone plays a crucial role in identifying and mitigating risks. By understanding that every action, no matter how small, contributes to a safer work environment, we redefine the concept of prevention, making it an integral part of our daily routine. Employees can also take action, for example, by requesting their PPE through the employee portal.
